I'm trying out 7-11's premium gold Sumire ramen today, one of two instant ramen bowls I picked up on my last trip to Japan in 2025. While 7-11 no longer sells the sought after Nakiryu instant ramen bowl, this and 7-11 Premium Gold Ippudo Bowl along with the 7-11 Gold Premium Tomita Tonkotsu make for very tasty instant ramen that will not disappoint! Sumire is a popular miso ramen chain originally from the northern city of Sapporo, Hokkaido.  It and Junren are two famous ramen restaurants that were part of the second wave of Sapporo style miso ramen restaurants that opened after Aji no Sanpei invented the style in 1953.  Sumire's version of the soup is more rich than regular miso ramen that is often described as deeply savory with hints of garlic and onion. Sumire 7-11 Instant Ramen Bowl
