The manga autobiography MA VIE EN 24 IMAGES PER SECONDE by director Rintaro (りんたろう) won the Grand Prize at the 29th OSAMU TEZUKA AWARD (手塚治虫文化賞), and Otomo who wrote the foreword for the book and is a long time friend and collaborator with him attended the presentation ceremony and commemorative event and signed the message board.
