After trying to start this Frieren show a few times, I finally got past the first few episodes. I'm currently around the 10th episode, just after this arc where Frieren saves a town from some demons that she conveniently never got around to before.I remember there being a lot of hype around this show when it came out, and after watching a handful of episodes, I can see why. The story centers around an Elf mage who went on a journey with a bunch of heroes to save the world around 50 or so years prior. Being essentially immortal, the 10 year journey feels more like a short vacation to her. But after witnessing one of her human companions get old and die, she realizes that she didn't really take the time to get to know them and genuinely misses them.
